Rev. Dr. Gideon Para-mallam speaking at the Lausanne Conference 2024

The Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization – L4, held in Seoul-Incheon, South Korea from September 22nd -28th, 2024. The theme was: ‘Let the Church Declare and Display Christ Together.’ It was a powerful gathering of global Church and Mission leaders, with some leaders from the Marketplace, Government, Business and Civil Society groups that united believers from around the world.  The President of the Peace Foundation was privilege to be invited to speak on September 25th with the whole day’s theme being: “Persecution and Mission: Standing with the Persecuted Church.” This resonated deeply with many participants throughout the event. From the opening on September 22nd to the closing on September 28th, participants experienced an outpouring of God’s presence and power, like never before.

The Congress attracted over 5,000 participants from 212 countries and territories. The Congress became a global platform to address multiple challenges facing the global Church and especially the persecuted Church. The Congress reaffirmed the mission to spread the gospel as God’s good news to all human kind through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is also a peacemaker as revealed in Mathew 5:9: ‘Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called the son [and daughters] of God.’ Despite the hardships believers face around the world because of persecution, the message was clear: God’s Church will continue to grow and flourish, even in the face of persecution and hardships.
