Deep Dives Peace Dialogue Report Unveiled, Emphasizing Collective Responsibility for Peace

Revd Dr. Para-Mallam detailed the key aspects of the report, summarizing the Deep Dives Peace Dialogue project conducted across six local government areas in Plateau State.
The event saw the attendance of esteemed personalities, including the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, represented by Prof. Danladi Abok Atu,  HRH Dr. Isaac Azi Wakili, represented by HRH Dr. John Harun Nyam, chaired the occasion, and Mr. Joseph Lengmang, Director General of the Plateau Peace Building Agency, hosted the event.
Numerous dignitaries, such as traditional rulers and religious leaders, alongside representatives from various organizations, marked their presence.
The Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Prof. Danladi Abok Atu, praised the Foundation’s collaborative efforts and underscored the report’s potential as a peacebuilding manual for similar areas.
 “Peacebuilding is not solely the responsibility of the government.” He said.
The Chairman of the occasion, Dr. John Haruna Nyam Yusuf, expressed his appreciation for the Foundation’s work, emphasizing its potential to rejuvenate the state’s former tranquility.

The Gideon and Funmi Para-Mallam Peace Foundation  conducted the Deep Dives Peace Dialogue project in partnership with the British High Commission, focused on uncovering the underlying causes of insecurity in six local government areas of Plateau State.
