1. Role: Data and Documentation Officer
Job Type: Onsite and Temporary (With possibility of being converted to permanent)
- Experience: 2-3 years
Responsibilities
The Data and Documentation Officer will be responsible for:
- Sourcing and recording of primary data on religiously motivated killings in Nigeria
- Analysing and writing in-depth report on data gathered
- Preparing and implementing data collection strategies for the organisation.
- Any other relevant duties assigned by the Project Manager
Qualification
- Minimum of BA/BSc/HND
- 2-3 years’ experience working in data gathering, research or related fields
- Excellent analytical writing skills
- Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other key tools
- Ability to source, document, analyse and interpret data
- Proficiency in the areas of data entry and data triangulation.
- Experience with academic research and scholarly writing
- Willingness to travel to conflict-prone areas to collect data.
- Ability to work cross-culturally, be diplomatic and non-partisan with strong appreciation for diversity including gender, cultural and ethnic diversity.
- Being able to capture violent incidents on video camera will be an added advantage
2. Role: Media & Communications Officer
Job Type: Onsite and Temporary (With possibility of being converted to permanent)
- Experience: 3-5 years
Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Media and Communications Officer will:
- Participate in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Project Zaman Lafiya Taraba, from communication perspective.
- Prepare and implement an information and communication strategy for the project.
- Create and publish content to promote the project through active engagement with followers on all social media platforms and the organisation’s website.
- Establish and maintain good relationship with a network of key media network and personnel, bloggers and freelance journalists to promote the project.
- Provide support in the drafting and issuing of press releases, maintenance of a media contact list and distribution of current information materials to the press.
- Oversee the publication of printed, web-based and audio-visual content to promote the project
- Any other relevant duties assigned by the Project Manager
Qualification
- Minimum of BA/BSc/HND
- 3-5-year experience working as in project communications
- Excellent analytic writing skills
- Proficiency in content creation and social-media management
- Ability to capture images and videos using a professional camera is an added advantage
- Ability to work cross-culturally, be diplomatic and non-partisan with strong appreciation for diversity including gender, cultural and ethnic diversity.
- Ability to communicate in any of the local languages of Takum, Wukari and Ussa LGAs of Taraba /Hausa/Fulfude will be an added advantage
3. Role: Project Officer I
- Job Type: Onsite and Temporary (With possibility of being converted to permanent)
- Experience: 4 -5 years
Responsibilities
The Project Officer I will:
- Work closely with the Project Manager to implement project activities for Project ZAMANLAFIYA-TARABA in Taraba State.
- Provide leadership support to ensure the project’s goals are met. S/he shall ensure that the project’s plans are in place and kept updated as per the project’s overall objective.
- Oversee other project staff to ensure that the project is implemented with best practices, including meeting organisational Quality Standards and international standards.
- Any other duties assigned by the project manager.
NOTE: The role will require travel to field sites
Qualification
- Minimum of BA/BSc/HND
- 4-5 years’ experience working on project implementation, including engagement with several actors – governments, community, and religious leaders, civil society, governments, security organizations and specialist networks, etc.
- Able to lead a diverse group of people effectively to produce result
- Ability to work cross-culturally, be diplomatic and non-partisan with strong appreciation for diversity including gender, cultural and ethnic diversity.
- Ability to speak any of the local languages of Takum, Wukari and Ussa LGAs of Taraba /Hausa/Fulfude could be an added advantage
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other key tools.
4. Role: Project Officer II
- Job Type: Onsite and Temporary (With possibility of being converted to permanent)
- Experience: 3-4 years
Responsibilities
The Project Officer 2 will:
- Work in support role with the Project Officer 1 to implement project activities for Project ZAMANLAFIYA-TARABA in Taraba State.
- Help ensure smooth operations of the project. S/he shall ensure that the project’s plans are in place and kept updated as per the project’s overall objective.
- Help in the coordination and arrangement of logistics for various meetings, and workshops.
- Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other key tools.
- Any other relevant duties assigned by the Project Manager or Project Officer 1
NOTE: The role will require travel to field sites
Qualification
- Minimum of BA/BSc/HND
- 3-year experience working on project implementation, including engagement with several actors – governments, community, and religious leaders, civil society, governments, security organizations and specialist networks, etc.
- Ability to work cross-culturally, be diplomatic and non-partisan with strong appreciation for diversity including gender, cultural and ethnic diversity.

- Ability to work without supervision but also with experience of working effectively as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with attention to detail and an orderly approach to tasks
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
