Eight years after the kidnapping of Nigerian Christian schoolgirl Leah Sharibu, her family and supporters continue to fight for her freedom. Ahead of Leah’s birthday on May 14, Christian World News anchor George Thomas spoke with Rev. Gideon Para-Mallam, a close family friend and spokesperson for the Sharibu family in Jos, Nigeria.
Rev. Para-Mallam spoke of Leah’s amazing testimony and how her kidnappers offered to set her free if she renounced her faith in Christ, but she refused. He also spoke of how stories of faithfulness are encouraging her family and other Christian schoolgirls in her country.
